James Holliday
Director of Agency Operations, Partnered in Texas with Baylor College of Medicine
I am a wellbeing and engagement professional with more than a decade of experience in developing and managing successful programs for employer groups. My passion for health promotion began at McMurry University where I graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Science, lettered in three sport (football, soccer and track), and was an active member of the community. Through hard work and dedication I was later awarded the departmental scholarship for health education. I later attended the University of Houston Clear Lake, where I completed 3 years of graduate studies in Fitness and Human Performance.
During my journey I’ve had an opportunity to work in and for a variety of health and wellness based organizations to include hospitals/clinics, commercial and corporate fitness centers, risk management and benefits consulting, and was even involved in a government funded deep space human physiology study with NASA. With this experience I’ve successfully managed, communicated, and implemented a variety of wellness strategies, to include EAP programs, clinical partnerships, population health management vendors, incentive driven employee wellness programs, traditional wellness, and more.
My passion has always been to help organizations establish a culture of total wellbeing, through resources and communications that help employees make healthy, informed decisions. I believe that by establishing a thriving workplace culture based on employee wellness, employers will reduce human capital risk, decrease annual benefits spend, and allow employees to perform and produce at high level, thus sparking an organization’s competitiveness and success.
